Campaign for disability inclusion launches at World Economic Forum annual meeting
The Valuable 500, a new campaign for the inclusion of people with disability in business, was launched at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos. The campaign is aimed at releasing the social and economic potential of the 1.3 billion people around the world who live with a disability, and will seek 500 global businesses to commit to putting disability on their board agendas in 2019. The first six companies to join The Valuable 500 were Unilever, Microsoft, Barclays, Fujitsu, Cinepolis, and Accenture. The launch of the campaign was accompanied by the premiere of “Diversish” – a satirical video challenging companies that exclude disability from their definition of diversity.
