Invictus Games start in Sydney on 20 October
From 20-27 October Sydney will host 500 competitors from 18 countries for the Invictus Games. The Games, which were founded by Prince Harry in 2014, are an international sporting event for wounded, injured and ill veteran and serving defence members. Athletes will compete in 11 sports, with events being held across Greater Sydney, including Sydney Olympic Park and Sydney Harbour. Some of the athletes representing Australia in this year’s games include Warrant Officer and archer Graham Bell, 23-year-old Nathan Parker, and former medic and intelligence officer Brigid Baker. Tickets are still available to buy online, and the Games will air on the ABC.
