Writer’s mission to change the way people with disabilities are treated on a daily basis

Accomplished relationships, disability and pop culture writer, Melissa Blake, has hit back at online trolls, posting a series of photos in defiance of the ugly abuse she cops for her disability. Blake was born with Freeman-Sheldon Syndrome, a genetic disorder that effects the bones and muscles, and has had 26 surgeries on her hands, knees, hips and spine.  But she has never let her disability define her, and writing has been a way for Blake to share her voice.  “Yes, my disability makes me look different. Trust me, I know that. I’ve known that my entire life.  I’ll continue to fight for change because this can’t be our future too,” she said.
