Giving a voice to those who need it

VocalID uses donated voice recordings to give people requiring adaptive alternative communication a unique, personalised voice. Rather than the robotic-sounding digital voices previously used, the company creates more human-sounding options by combining the sound of the client’s vocal quality with a donor’s. Founder Rupal Patel explains, “When disabled people have communication impairments…it increases the likelihood that they’ll be removed from the workforce, isolated socially, mistakenly identified as cognitively impaired, or rendered invisible”. VocalID accepts donations of recordings so you can literally help give someone a voice.
